Mic fix on HP280G3MT desktop
Internet should be connected for the following steps:- open terminal and use the following commands:- sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install alsa-tools-gui hdajackretask Select a Codec = Conexant CXXX Under PIN Configuration SECOND-2nd section Check Overide and in place of microphone select >> Inbuilt MIC Click on Apply Now on right bottom - enter root password Then, click on Install Boot Overide - enter root password Reboot the computer and the microphone should work
